Mike is a proud grandfather to two grandchildren, Kyler and Allison, who are the children of his daughter Tiffany and her husband David. Cristy, his youngest daughter, remains unmarried and close to her father, earning the title of “daddy’s girl.”
His mother, Goldie, aged 87, resides in an assisted living complex. Motivated by the challenges of a difficult period in 2022 and 2023, he decided to write a book as part of his healing journey. He reflects on the tragic events in his personal life and the injustices he faced within the justice system during that time.
The author, Mike Cromwell was married for 38 years to his first wife and had three beautiful children: two daughters named Tiffany and Cristy, and one son, Shaun Michael Cromwell. In 1998, tragedy struck when his son passed away unexpectedly from bacterial meningitis on March 30th, which was devastating for the entire family. However, on July 26th of the same year, his daughter Cristy was born, bringing hope back into their lives.
With a career spanning approximately 30 years in construction, he initially began with remodeling homes before transitioning to building homes. In 1992, he ventured into commercial contracting, where he has remained since. His strong work ethic blessed him with the ability to provide a comfortable life for his family, whom he loves dearly. He has a deep affection for his city, Louisville, Kentucky, which he considers an excellent place to raise a family and build a successful career.
